We have somehow gotten used to seeing others Brady-Bunch style in audience-view. Flipping the monitor, I explore the concept of being looked at through others’ eyes. I like painting birds, which prompted the exploration of this concept through the eyes of owls. The absolute attention one receives in the all-knowing stare of most such encounters connects deeply with you. The you-within-the-we of things, that is what face to face encounters bring when we look closer, and accept the promise and commitment in their eyes.
